Q: How long have you been playing video games?

Pachuko: I’ve been playing games since I could remember. Grew up playing NES and trying to get through all the levels on Super Mario Bros. leaving it on pause when I had to go to school so I wouldn’t lose any progress. Later on someone at my dads work sold him a PC cheap and gave him a book on writing your own games for it. I was hooked on PC gaming as well after that. 

Mystique: From a very young age, if I remember correctly I think Duck Hunt was my 1st game. From there I spent a lot of time shadowing my older brother playing NES, SNES & Sega Genesis, it just grew from there. I played mainly Nintendo consoles with my neighborhood friends for the majority of my life until my brother brought home the original xbox and we all played Halo: Combat Evolved together for the 1st time.

Q: What type of games do you play?

Pachuko: There isn’t many genres I won’t play. However I do like to focus on RPG / Action RPG games. I find it fun to create a character and level them up as you see fit for upcoming battles. Having to plan out whether you should take on this boss first or go grind a few more levels to power up more. I’ve been hooked on the FF series for quite some time as well as other likes Lost Odyssey for RPG’s and Action RPG’s like Mass Effect and Fallout (well even though it started as a point and click and transitioned over to an Action RPG style with 3) and Elder Scrolls. 

Mystique: I enjoy many genres but my favorite usually include a good story, a little bit of suspense and puzzle. I tend to like third person stealth and games that have collectibles and customization. I also enjoy fun multiplayer that is easy to pick up with friends. I also love adventure and puzzle type games too. Some favorite titles: The Last of Us, SOMA, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Portal Series, Legend of Zelda Series…so many other games I really enjoy but I don’t want the list to be ridiculously long.

Q: Are you in College? What are you studying?

Pachuko: I am not in college but I took some college courses for Computer Science and Network Administration

Mystique: I graduated and received my degree in Game Arts & Design in 2010.

Q: Are any of you in a relationship/married?

Pachuko: With cake, yes.

Mystique: I’ve been with my boyfriend for 12 years, so fuck off already, yeah?

Q: Do any of you have children?

Pachuko: No but I’ve pretty much been a parent to a bunch of my nephews and nieces.

Mystique: OH GOD NO…. Not yet at least.

Q: Do any of you have any pets?

Pachuko: Yes, I have three dogs, One is named Cloud Strife, Calcifer and the newest pup that lives with me is named Bowser. There is also a turtle that swims around these parts named Frank and a tortoise named Mr. Turtle.

Mystique: Yes, I have a black Pitbull named Roxy, and a black cat named Mystique.

Q: Where are you from?

Pachuko: I’m from Nuev…. Hey… wait a second… are you an ICE agent?!?! YOU HAVE TO TELL ME IF YOU ARE!!!!

Mystique: Born citizen of the United States of America.

Q: What do you do for a living?

Pachuko: I am a fabricator (steel, aluminum, composite)/painter/electrician/trimmer – I customize Motorcycles / cars / boats pretty much anything a client wants done. If you’ve ever seen like Pimp my Ride or shows similar, that’s what I do for a living.

Mystique: I am a Digital Illustrator and Graphic Artist, Art is the only thing I enjoy more then video games.

Q: How did you guys meet?

Pachuko: This one girl kept liking and unliking and then reliking this one cake I posted on Instragram. Finally one day she left a comment that said “THAT CAKE IS SOOO COOL!” and I said “Uhhhh ok reel it back on you’re creepying me out” and she’s like “I like games, do you like games? do you wanna play games? cuz I like to play games” So I figured I better play a game with her before I wake up with a stabbed cake in my bed… and well we eventually made a gaming channel together and the rest is history.

Mystique: I saw this guy stalking my Instagram account, idk he wanted to show me this cake he made so I was like “ooookaaaay cool cake… I guess” and he was all like “be my friend on xbox.” and at the time I played with some pretty shit friends on xbox who didn’t know how to record gameplay so I was like “okay I’ll be on borderlands meet me on at 5 in the morning.” and he was like “Okay cool that will give me enough time to bake another cake of friendship.” And I was thinking this fucking weirdo is weird but he has an elgato and my cat doesn’t know how to record for shit so I was like “okay cool buddy.” So basically we played some games and I was trying to steal his Elgato but he hid it in the cake, so I had to pretend to be his best friendo, which was hard because I hated his stupid stinky face. But I just kept waiting till he ate all the cake so we could just finally start making videos and putting them on the YouTubes.

Q: Where did you get your screen name from?

Pachuko: I used to have eljoker on everything… EVERYTHING but I got tired of either having it taken on new stuff or people sending me things because they thought I was someone else. So I just started to use this current one.

Mystique: I’ve have a couple of different names but Mystic Mystique (`mistik misˈtēk) comes from my Xbox Live Gamer Tag. The Mystique part comes from X-MEN I love me some blue bitches, also love mutation, and strong female roles. Mystique was taken because, what isn’t and I just got mystic from playing around with words that work with mystique. I also go by ASHEN ROGUE, again Ashen Rogue is taken on xbox so I’ve stuck with Mystic Mystique.

Mystique: I watch a lot of YouTube, as for gaming Let’s Play Channels I Like Game Grumps & Achievement Hunter. I also watch a lot of artist like, Baylee Jae, Doodle Date and Doodle Doods which is on the Game Grumps Channel.

Q: Who is Ashen Rogue?

Mystique: Dat me! Yeah so I have another channel I created a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It’s basically my art channel and art persona, the channel is not used very much since at the time I started I had a terribly slow iMac which was fine but not so much at handling large Photoshop files and screen recording. So I couldn’t really record my art for a long time. The channel has been collecting dust ever since but plan on throwing videos up when I can, but I am currently more focused on the deadpixel channel.
